Hotelchamp is on a mission to give hotels back control of their bookings. Online Travel Agencies like Booking and Expedia have turned into powerful conversion and marketing machines, charging hotels commissions of up to 20% and demanding even more discounts just for visibility. We believe guests should book direct, and that the hotel website should be where the guest experience begins.
We have built an innovative booking engine, conversion suite, and CRM that makes booking effortless and trustworthy. We are now taking the next steps to deliver hyper-personalised, AI-driven booking experiences that turn the stress and complexity of travel planning into something simple, clear, and even exciting.
As Hotelchamp enters an important growth phase, we are looking for an experienced Interim VP of Strategy & Growth to bring clarity, structure, and measurable momentum across our commercial organization.

Job requirements
The role
This is a senior interim leadership position focused on strengthening commercial alignment, improving execution, and driving sustainable revenue growth from May through October.
You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the CPO and commercial leaders.
Your responsibilities are structured around four core pillars:
1. Growth Alignment & OKR Execution
You ensure the organization is aligned around the right priorities and that execution against growth targets stays on track.
You will:
• Set and refine company and team OKRs aligned with revenue and growth objectives
• Track progress and ensure accountability across teams
• Lead company-wide strategic and performance meetings
• Create simple dashboards and reporting rhythms to increase transparency
• Identify bottlenecks early and drive corrective action when targets are at risk
2. Revenue Engine Leadership
You provide strategic direction and hands-on guidance across Marketing, RevOps, Sales, and Customer Success to maximize pipeline, conversion, and ROI.
You will:
• Oversee pipeline performance and key growth initiatives across the funnel
• Prioritize initiatives that drive the highest revenue impact with limited resources
• Support day-to-day leadership and decision-making within commercial teams
• Advise on marketing campaigns, launches, and growth experiments
• Strengthen alignment between teams to eliminate silos and increase execution speed
• Manage: Revenue Operations Manager, Marketing Manager, Onboarding Team Lead, CS Team Lead
• Coach and train: Revenue Operations, Marketing, Onboarding, CS, Website Team, Product Specialists, Sales Team, and BDRs
3. Net Revenue Retention & Commercial Excellence
You strengthen the company’s ability to retain and grow customers through coaching, process improvements, and direct involvement where needed.
You will:
• Drive initiatives to improve Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and expansion revenue
• Coach teams to better leverage customer and prospect conversations for growth opportunities
• Join key sales and customer calls to support preparation, strategy, and follow-up
• Support the use of data and analytics (including GA4) to identify opportunities and improve performance
• Build repeatable playbooks and commercial best practices that remain after your engagement
4. Strategic Partnership with the CEO (& CPO)
You act as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO to help guide company decisions toward sustainable growth and organizational maturity.
You will:
• Advise on strategic priorities and resource allocation
• Identify structural improvements needed for the next growth stage
• Help define what “healthy growth” looks like and how to achieve it
• Balance ambition with operational reality
What we are looking for
• Proven experience as VP Growth, VP Strategy, CRO, or senior commercial leader within SaaS or a fast-scaling startup
• Strong experience aligning Marketing, RevOps, Sales, and Customer Success
• Track record of driving revenue growth and improving NRR
• Experience working closely with founders or CEOs
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity while maintaining execution momentum
• Strong leadership presence and ability to coach senior team members
• Data-driven and structured, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
• Available for minimum 3/4 days per week from May through October
Based in (or able to regularly travel to) Amsterdam is preferred. Hybrid working is possible.
